Design: Bodil Bødtker-Næss
The CHRISTMAS TABLECLOTH is a nostalgic signature design in the damask collection, and its iconic motif symbolises Christmas as the season of goodwill. This is an exclusive tablecloth that one
grows up with and passes on to the next generation – and it is now available in the most gorgeous of greys.
In Winter Grey, the CHRISTMAS TABLECLOTH takes on an especially elegant look when the muted grey tones of the winter sky meet in the iconic design. The shade forms an ideal backdrop for Christmas
ornaments of various shapes and shades, from natural materials, snow-white tones and golden brass to this year’s trending colours. Matching napkins complete the look.
The tablecloth’s motif was designed by Bodil Bødtker-Næss, who was in the inner circle of textile artists around Georg Jensen in the 1970s and who was also the artist responsible for the classic
Easter design from the same period. The braided Christmas hearts and stylised spruce twigs have represented the quintessence of Christmas spirit for more than 40 years, and the design is an
indispensable part of Christmas in many homes.
