Owner-designer Åse Öjbro has created wearable art with these beautiful mittens adorned with one of Sweden's most well-known symbols, the Dala Horse.
Please also see our Suede Palm Dala Horse Mitten which is the same pattern but with suede palm for better grip.
The oldest mention of Dalecarlia is from Sverris saga of the late 1100s, in which the landscape was called “iron carrier country” and was described as being a pagan country. The landscape very quickly became industrialized in the southern parts and the associated Bergslagen. The landscape, otherwise, remained a new construction area, especially in the areas outside Siljan and Dalälven.
